Your Partner in Empowered Birth and Beyond
Hello, I’m Chessa Concari, and I'm dedicated to ensuring your family feels supported, heard, and confident throughout pregnancy, labor, and the postpartum transition.
I am an NJMIHIA (New Jersey Maternal and Infant Health Innovation Authority) trained and certified full-spectrum doula. My passion for this work began after the birth of my son, when I personally experienced the gaps in maternal care that can leave families feeling unsupported. This realization fueled my mission.
My Approach is Built on Three Pillars:
Evidence-Based Practice: Providing you with clear, unbiased information to help you navigate your choices.
Traditional Wisdom: Honoring the ancient knowledge and comfort measures of birth and postpartum.
Authentic Connection: Truly listening to your unique needs and adapting my support to your goals and philosophies.
I am committed to helping you understand your rights, use your voice, and bridge the gaps in modern maternity care. I am so honored to collaborate with families on their journey toward an empowered, confident, and redemptive birth experience. I can't wait to meet you!

My Journey to Doula Work
My passion for supporting mothers is rooted in three generations of birth experiences—my grandmother's, my mother's, and my own.
I grew up listening to my grandmother's powerful story of becoming a mother at just 16, and hearing my own mother's birth journey—from her ecstatic, unmedicated first labor to the emotional experience of an emergency C-section and subsequent NICU stay.
Giving birth to my own child deepened this understanding, but also amplified a critical truth: new mothers often slip through the cracks of our current maternity system.
After that transformative experience, and a pivotal meeting with my own lactation consultant, I realized my path was to become an advocate.
My commitment is simple: Every birth is a uniquely remarkable event deserving of the utmost support and respect. I work tirelessly to ensure every family I serve feels empowered, confident, and heard throughout the prenatal period, labor, the 4th trimester, and beyond.
